Hey! It's taken me three weeks to finish this and I hope you enjoy it. How would you draw Techno? How would you get it to come out of a pen? Some colorful type of Daft Punk-powered-flowing-ink-circuits or something like that?... this is what I came up with. See if you can find: -JĀCHE Shrūm -Sherbet Cloud -AwkwardRobot This is all original artwork except I have to thank *z-design for his tech brushes, they were exceptionally helpful. Info: 3 Weeks. 228 Layers. Hours of staring at a screen watching Photoshop telling me it was saving in Photoshop format saving time... Without all that jazz... (the original "techno" drawing) Tools: Pen, Scanner, Photoshop _________________________________ -Watch Me -Profile -Gallery -Prints Shop [Behance|RYZ Wear|devART] ____________________________________________ © 2008 Jonathan Hasson |

But I don't know about the overall composition. The parts in the corners look out of place and I honestly think it would not be harmed at all if they were removed or incorporated into the centre.
Also those colour blurs in the background clash a bit. You have flat colours and shapes in the foreground and gradients in the background, it doesn't mesh well and it's pretty distracting. I think there would be so much more focus on the psychedelic colours if you removed the soft colours in the background and the images on the sides and corners. It needs a clear focal point I think, and why not make it the central shapes and colours?
Also, while I truly love the icons down the bottom of the piece, I think they need to be made smaller. They take up too much of the image and once again they distract the eye. You want people to look at them after they have taken in the piece, not have them fighting for the viewer's attention. I really love the typography of "Technogasm", was that done by hand or is it a font? Either or, it's mad as, and if it is a font i wonder if it's too much trouble to ask for it?
There's so much potential in this artwork, so many cool ideas that work really nicely. But I think it just needs to be tweaked some more to make it truly great.
I apologise if i came across as overly critical and harsh, but I wanted to leave you a comment worthy of all the hard work you put into this. One of the most frustrating things is pouring your heart and soul into something and not getting enough meaningful feedback in return. Haha that said, the second most frustrating thing is pouring your heart and soul into something and then having some dickhead trying to point out all it's perceived flaws. So I am sorry for that!

You spend the first five years trying to get with the plan and the next five years trying to be with your friends again.
I have to let you know that I am not at all offended or anything like that but am rather flattered and would like to thank you.
Yes, I agree the things in the corners are quite distracting, I'd thought about that quite a lot myself when I was making it and I think I'll follow your advice and change it soon.
The typography part was done by hand (you can see it if you'd like, I'll put it in my scraps). I used the font "CLUB" after altering it quite a bit and then well, you'll see once I get it up.
I have to say that I enjoyed your constructive criticism very much and the times you get it in its essence are few and far between so your comment was quite refreshing and thanks again!
And no, you're not a dickhead.
